Welcome to FreeDocToPDF. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website freedoctopdf.com and the tools it provides (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

FreeDocToPDF provides free online tools to convert and edit documents. You may use the Service for lawful personal or business purposes. You agree not to:

Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
Use the Service to process content you do not have the legal right to use.
Upload material that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
Attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, or reverse-engineer the Service or its servers.
Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

2. No account, no ownership of your files

You do not need to create an account to use FreeDocToPDF. You retain full ownership of any files you upload and any results you download. We claim no rights over your content. As described in our Privacy Policy, your files are deleted immediately after download and are never stored long-term.

3. Fair use and limits

Because the Service is free and requires no authentication, we apply reasonable limits to keep it available for everyone, including a maximum file size (currently 10 MB), a cap on the number of files per operation, and rate limits on requests. We may adjust these limits at any time to protect the Service.

4. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every conversion will be perfect for every file. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may cause temporary downtime.

5. Intellectual property

The FreeDocToPDF name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the property of FreeDocToPDF and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without our permission. This does not affect your ownership of your own files.

6. Advertising

The Service is funded by advertising. By using FreeDocToPDF, you acknowledge that ads may be displayed, and you agree not to interfere with their delivery in a way that would deprive us of the means to keep the Service free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeDocToPDF and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. You use the Service at your own risk. Please keep your own backups of important files.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FreeDocToPDF from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date above shows when they were most recently changed.
